Laura McAdams is an attorney in the Los Angeles office of Manning & Kass, where she practices on the Complex Litigation Team, which focuses on affirmative litigation cases involving insurance fraud, first and third party special investigation defense, high exposure and catastrophic personal injury matters, transportation litigation, and class action defense. Ms. McAdams’ dedication and skill in fighting fraud was recently recognized by the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU), Southern California Chapter, who named her the Defense Attorney of the Year for 2018.
Ms. McAdams dedicates her practice to fighting fraud, especially in the areas of medical provider fraud, workers’ compensation fraud, and automobile insurance fraud. In addition to focusing on affirmative litigation cases involving insurance fraud, she works with a successful team of attorneys that specialize in the evaluation and defense of first and third party SIU claims, which include cases against attorneys, doctors, organized crime members, chiropractors, body shop owners, stagers and others who have attempted to defraud insurance companies.
She regularly lectures across the country and trains professionals in a variety of subject areas involving insurance fraud defense and affirmative litigation issues.
She has extensive litigation experience, including taking hundreds of depositions and examinations under oath, as well as successfully trying complex cases. Ms. McAdams also has experience in the areas of general civil defense and insurance defense; including automobile, SIU/fraud, wrongful death, and premises liability.
Ms. McAdams received her BA in political science and philosophy from Whitman College in 2007, and received her JD from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2010.
Ms. McAdams was selected to participate in, and is a graduate of, the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Trial School Program.
