Deputy District Attorney Danny Lau has been a prosecutor for the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office for 11 years. Joining the Auto Insurance Fraud Unit in April 2017, he is currently assigned to prosecute both organized auto fraud and regular auto fraud cases. Prior to joining the unit, Danny had served two assignments on the felony trial unit, where he tried murders and cases involving violent crimes. He had also served two years on the felony law and motion division, where he researched, wrote and argued complex legal issues. As a 2nd year prosecutor in 2008, Danny was awarded the Outstanding Prosecutor Award by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. In October 2018, he taught a class on law and evidence at the CDI basic investigator course in Sacramento.
